The most important part of your swing is your grip.
Unless the grip is in your fingers with your palms opposing each other you are set up for disaster. The proper grip allows for the proper release of the clubhead through impact.
Notice in the photo above how the club is deep in the fingers and both palms are parallel to one another. This is a sound neutral grip.
